Our Course: Preparing for the NHS 2019 – 2020

Learner Engagement Training Services (LETS) offers interactive, engaging, and creative methods of teaching that enhance and develop students’ skills in a supportive and a positive environment, with native English-speaking teachers.

The Course

LETS’ Preparing for the NHS 2019 – 2020 course is, typically, 82 hours per month in class, supported by 68 hours of homework; the programme usually runs for a 6-month period.

Underpinning this course, which will culminate in students undertaking their International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic exam, and the Nursing and Midwifery Council’s (NMC) Computer Based Test Part 1, is Skillfirst’s internationally recognised qualification Preparing to work in a Clinical Setting.

These include; helping you register for both your IELTS (Academic), and your NMC CBT Part 1 examination, in addition to undertaking your Skillsfirst Awards internationally recognised qualification.

Skillsfirst Awards

Skillsfirst Awards’ Preparing to Work in a Clinical Setting. Skillsfirst Awards is an awarding organisation that specialise in the provision of vocational qualifications. Skillsfirst Awards is Ofqual regulated, and offers internationally recognised business-related qualifications. During their decades of experience, they have sought to ensure that students become fully trained and qualified to industry standards.

Our knowledgeable tutors are committed to equipping you with an understanding of Professional Values, Communication and Interpersonal Skills, Nursing Practice and Decision Making, and Leadership Management and Teamworking, plus a range of transferable skills which can be applied for your successful move to the UK.

English Language Testing System (IELTS)

Preparation for the International English Language Testing System (IELTS). IELTS is a standardised English language test which assesses an individual’s reading, writing, and verbal skills; this allows non-native speakers to demonstrate, to employers, their proficiency in the English language.

Our native English-speaking tutors will guide you through the Academic IELTS process, helping increase your confidence, interpersonal skills, and communication, whilst working with you on your reading, writing, speaking, and listening, and assisting you in gaining a Level 7, or above, in the Academic IELTS examination.

Computer Based Testing

Preparation for the Nursing and Midwifery Council Computer Based Testing Part 1 (NMC CBT Part 1). The NMC are the professional regulators for the nursing and midwifery profession. They work to ensure that professionals have the knowledge and skills to deliver consistent quality care that keeps people safe. They set the education standards which professionals must achieve to practice in the United Kingdom (UK).
